201 NICKEL ALLOY PIPE PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Nickel 201 Pipe is a commercially pure nickel alloy with minimum 99% nickel in the composition. It has similar properties of the Nickel 200 alloy but has less carbon content. The reduction of carbon content makes it good for welding and avoids intergranular corrosion. Also, the need for slug removal after welding is greatly reduced. The Alloy 201 Seamless Pipes are wrought nickel and it has less absolute roughness and is very precise in its dimensions. The ASTM B161 UNS N02201 Welded Pipes belongs to the standard which governs the pipe ranging up to 10 inches. The wall thickness varies depending on the diameter of the pipe up to 219mm. The diameter and the wall thickness define the schedules and the pressure classes. The Nickel 201 Seamless Pipes are high temperature resistant and corrosion resistant.
